Today is two days following the SEC rejecting the Winklevoss Twins ETF, and one day since having a new Crypto Mom. I wonder how many people she asked if they slept well. We’ll have a chance to look at reddit later this evening and see if everyone ate enough today and did all their chores (research).
I also look at a forbes article published today regarding the recent developments (or lack there of) in the ETF discussion. The overall takeaway sentiment is that the CBOE ETF is very different, even addressing some of the reasons cited for the Winklevoss ETF rejection. The BAT Exchange ETF was expected to be rejected, and the CBOE ETF is still largely assumed to be considered. I personally have my doubts of a Bitcoin ETF this year, but time will tell. Make sure you get all the information from a variety of sources before making decisions.

Now that we’ve had time to digest the SEC’s ETF rejection, and Hester Pierce is officially our mom now, I reflect on what the important points to take away from this are.

Reddit has birthed her as our new crypto mom, and we also talk about other SEC comissioners stepping down next year (making room for more PRO-CRYPTO BO$$’ like Hester here).
The SEC has posted an update to 1 of the 2 Bitcoin ETF’s currently under review. The Bats BZX Exchange applied for a Bitcoin ETF, and were denied today. Citing instability and volatility, it brings into question the cboe’s application that will likely be denied under the same premise. The Winklevoss own Bats BZX Exchange, and reddit discusses that cme Bitcoin futures are expiring soon and the rejection headlines could be used to hold the price of bitcoin down prior to the reinstating of the futures contracts. Many predict the bull run is here, but some still expect a return to a downward channel and an extended bear market.
